A downloadable prototype for Android

A World to Conquer is a very short (around 3 minutes) mobile game prototype project uploaded to itch.io for a University assignment submission.

Important:

While anybody is free to play this prototype, it is vital to note that it is incomplete in many parts, with the sole purpose of the game being to visualise a game idea and where it could be taken with a lot more work, features and polish. (It is also only compatible with Android devices running a 9:16 aspect ratio)

It is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that contains very little of what the full product intends to offer, and thus should be treated as such.

I ran into a horrendous and unexpected technical issue close to the deadline date that required me to sacrifice a sizing format in Unity that shifted and adapted the game's aspect ratio according to that of the user's device. Therefore, I had to stick to a strict 9:16 aspect ratio and it is also very likely that the UI elements may be positioned off-screen, or that the screen may not be sized correctly for your device. I made this game using Unity, and while the design intention was for mobile, I never got a chance to test it on a mobile device; it works great as a mobile game on PC, but will likely be formatted very poorly depending on your mobile device. Whoops.

Game Description:

A World to Conquer is a 2D, Action/Adventure prototype game in which you take the role of the villain. Your goal is to gain riches and power, spreading across planets, with the aim of taking down a corrupt Galactic Federation who played a heavy hand in the murder of your mother.

The full product would contain a fully-fledged turn-based combat system (similar to that of 'For The King'), multiple planets, quests, in-game loot (equipment, rewards etc.), and a narrative storyline with minor player-choice mechanics that can dictate how elements of the game plays out.
